As a widely respected actor with a versatile onscreen demeanor, Steve Tyler has been cast as the quintessential straight man by the Farrelly Brothers in more of their films than any other actor in Hollywood. He can be seen in King Pin, Something About Mary, Me, Myself & Irene, Shallow Hal, Stuck on You and The Three Stooges. Other film roles include Boy’s Life 3, written and directed by Jason Gould, and A River Made to Drown In – starring Richard Chamberlin and Michael Imperioli. In 2000, he starred as ‘Matthew Haines’ in The Journey of Jared Price -a coming-of-age film- written, produced and directed by Academy Award winner Dustin Lance Black (Milk). He’s appeared in all but two of Nicole Conn’s films (she says “he is her lucky charm”). Tyler has also recurred in such popular television series as “Desperate Housewives,” “Days of Our Lives” and “Santa Barbara.”
Tyler started his career modeling; his stint as the KOOL cigarette man, in the worldwide campaign, quickly defined his jocular charisma and wide-range appeal in the commercial marketplace. He has been seen in over 225 national and regional television and print campaigns – pitching cars, airlines, medication and super markets – in both the United States and Latin markets. Currently Steve has a recurring role in the upcoming web series “The Disappointments” as ‘Leeland Hoodridge,’ a commercial actor, TV star and nemesis to the series lead. Tyler occasionally appears in Jordon Green’s web series “My Best Life.” Always prepared to take on the challenge of a new role, Tyler’s professionalism and positive attitude are renowned within the industry.
